Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Director's Biography

Jean-Pierre Jeunet began his directing career with the animated short film "The Escape", followed by another animated short, "The Merry-Go-Round", which won a Cesar in 1981. He's best known for his previous French features, "Delicatessan" (1991), which won four Cesars and the Tokyo Gold Award, and "The City of Lost Children" (1996), which won a Cesar and was nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes and the Independent Spirit Award.

He received a Saturn Award nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Films for Best Director for his work on "Alien Resurrection" (1988).
